Ways to Wear: Knit Headbands without the Messy Aftermath

I'm in love with Fall and am so excited to be writing about all of our fabulous new hats and headbands for the season! Here are some tips on how to fix up that awful hat-hair and keep your head held high this Fall and Winter season! Here are some of the awesome new knits Chelsea's Boutique has just put on the floor!

Tip #1: Wool hats made out of cotton or cashmere fabrics are the best to keep your hair from turning into a giant static mess AND are the best to avoid dramatically flattened styles.

Tip #2: Load up on mousse when you're blowdrying in the morning on days where you know your head will be trapped in a hat for a long time. Beginnng with a lot of volume will help you when it's time to take you hat off for the day.

Tip #3: Make sure your hair is 100% DRY before putting on your hat. Throwing a hat on when you hair's still wet will surely make that dreaded "bump" so much worse.

Tip #4: Throw a small spray can of hairspray, a comb, and a small bottle of leave-in conditioner in your purse or bag before you leave the house. When you take your hat off, add some hairspray - back comb your roots a little bit - and finish your revamp by adding a small amount of leave-in conditioner to your roots to say bye bye to the fly aways and static cling!

This may seem ridiculous, but, seriously - there is one person that my mind IMMEDIATELY goes to when we're talking about Fall and Winter outwear in general. That is, none other than one of my FAVORITE fashion idols, (TV fictional or not, someone is still dressing her) Blair Waldorf. Seriously. Need some fashion inspiration??...she's your gal.

Lady crush. For real. But her outwear outfits are WONDERFUL!
