Ways to Wear: The Graphic Tee
One of my favorite trends for Spring 2014 is the Graphic Tee:
Here are the graphic tees that we have at the boutique right now. Chelsea and Carly went to LA Market this past week, they get back tomorrow, and I know for a FACT that she has a suitcase full of a bunch of options. I played around a little bit with what we had available right now in the store...
I LOVE the simplicity of this "Ooh lala" tee and the royal navy color that it is. Two trends in one!...the color and the print! This top is great for transitioning into Spring. Wear it plain with grey skinny jeans and flats OR chunk it up a bit with a scarf and a denim or leather jacket. That would be my go to...graphic tee and a leather jacket. Ahhh...you bad**s you. ;)
Here's another tee on the floor right now! This one says "It's not hard to make decisions once you know what your values are". This is a nice long-length t-shirt and so I would LOVE to see this with some tribal leggings and a leather jacket. I paired it here with a mustard colored scarf, a black open cardigan and a brown belt. Don't be afraid to mix your browns and blacks as long as you pay attention to how much of each color you're using. One should always be WAY more prominent than the other. Simple touches - mix 'em in a little at a time.
Now - let's break down some perfect outfits....

The way this lovely lady put these outfits together literally makes me want to drool.
Base: Graphic Tee.
The perfection comes with how simple she is able to keep everything while still looking amazing. She chose ONE statement piece in each outfit. In the first - it's that amazing cobalt (huge color for Spring) bubble skirt. She accessorized well by keeping her jewelry, belt and bag all a neutral metallic gold. Warm things up a little with a nice tweed jacket. Thumbs up. In the second - EMERALD EMERALD EMERALD. WOW. The length of this skirt, where it hits her on her waist...everything is wonderful. I also really like that she chose to keep her clutch the same color as the skirt. Why? Because I really like that she is keeping the focus on that one jaw-dropping skirt. Effortless. In the third - you cannot miss the leopard printed coat she is rockin'. Her (slightly) boot-cut skinny jeans are a perfect way to balance out the bulk of her upper body. Keeping things tight on the bottom is exactly what I would've done with a larger coat. The only thing I would change here is that I would've thrown my hair into a top-knot so as to show off that amazing fur neckline.
I AM SO EXCITED to rummage through everything Chelsea brings back tomorrow. 9am unpacking can't come soon enough! Keep up on our Facebook and Instagram pages to follow
exactly what will be hitting the floor of the boutique tomorrow!
