Ways To Wear: The Patterned Top

One of the biggest trends for Spring 2014 - a shirt that has, what some may consider, quite the overwhelming floral pattern. I LOVE this trend. I love floral patterns. I love bright colors....and I LOVE playing around with busy patterns!...

I started drooling when this top came back in Chelsea's suitcase from LA Market. We still have it in the boutique for $37.95.

Outfit 1: Tone down that busy pattern by keeping the bottom half of your body entirely solid. You will see me in this exact outfit come March when the snow is gone and we can get away with this as a day outfit! I can't wait! Feeling adventurous? Tuck the top into the high waisted jeans! Can't get much better than that! And pair with a simple necklace and a pair of nude flats. Done.

Outfit 2: Feeling a little adventurous? This look is for you! We are keeping the same theme here, notice, in that the rest of your outfit should generally be solid and neutral. This acid wash denim jacket is TO DIE FOR. Although it scares me that the 80s may be coming back...I'll be okay with the acid wash part. ;) These leggings are leather accented giving you the perfect kick-in-the-pants. Tall boots, booties, heels OR flats would work with this too! Ahh, I love versatility! Grab a statement necklace pulling some of the colors from the top and you're done! Outfit 3: Have an evening event to attend? Dress it up! This is the outfit I'd totally grab a solid colored high-waisted pencil skirt with, tuck in the top, throw on some black tights and heels and WOW everyone at the event. Choosing black immediately dresses up this look and a little bling on the necklace tops everything off! I love this lightweight blazer - icing on the cake. Steal the show, babe...
