Ways to Wear: Lavender
FINALLY! My favorite color is on trend this Spring and Summer. I love purple - all shades of it, but I am so excited to be saying that lavender is one of the hottest colors of the season.
Pastels make their way to the front of the racks and are flattering on
everyone. Whether its yellow, blue, pink or purple - we have them all in the boutique
and are ready to equip you with a fabulous new outfit!
Let's talk about lavender though:
Beginning with one of the most beautiful dresses ever. The way this dress is cut is flattering for many frames as there is the slight disconnect in the middle. Flatters the narrowest part of you waist while keeping you covered. ;)
I picked this up for myself today and I'll fill you in on what I'm going to wear with it:
Outfit #1: Floral Mesh Illusion cropped-top Dress - $49.95
Wedges, wedges & wedges. Wear this dress with a bright coral wedge, a yellow wedge, or even just a neutral. I'd keep the jewelry to a minimum. Don't distract from the awesome print.
A few bangles, a pair of studs and a chunky watch in rose gold will do the trick for me.
Looking for a dress that's a little more casual but can be dressed up?
Outfit #2: Check out this baby-doll style dress - $34.95 - we just got in yesterday. Simple and clean with a high waistline. This will work well on a small frame but is appropriate for a huge age range. If you have a larger bust, try purchasing a baby-doll top one size larger than you'd normally wear. Because they narrow RIGHT under the bust-line, they are great for bringing in your waist!
Leggings and little sneakers will do.
Or, if you're going out, throw on a chunky necklace like the one pictured - $30 - and
a pair of neutral colored heels.
Okay, who's ready for some denim? The interesting neckline on this killer
lavender tank - $34.95 - has enough going on for itself to need an interesting partner.
Keep it neutral on the bottom. White denim, dark or light denim (jeans OR shorts) and a pair of flats or heels will do. Spice up the denim with a colorful shoe in coral, mint or yellow!
This top flows away from the midsection perfectly! I love it!
Mirror the deep v-neck with a statement piece - $27 - and help out your second day
hair with an adorable hat like this one - $18.
