There's never a bad time to take a few minutes to evaluate your closet situation.

Mine, it's definitely a 'situation', like a mix between tornadic aftermath and a sorry attempt for organization. I should take these tips and pointers to heart. 

Storage solutions don't have to be expensive. Check out all of the awesome scores found at Walmart. 

Like this, for example. My unmentionables drawer is always out of control. (Have you ever gone out to buy new underwear rather than do laundry? I've been there. College was a dark time ;)) This simple solution is just perfect. Why didn't I think of this? Now you'll be able to see everything you own, all of the time. 

Get creative with your storage solutions. Get your items up and off of the closet floor. Go by these steps: 1) Organize the unmentionables 2) Organize the scarf collection 3) Maximize your space 4) Get vertical with storage 5) Make sock storage make sense and finally 6) Create hidden storage.

Finally, if you have things that you simply cannot find room for, think about a charity or second-hand store you can donate your items to. Look into projects like Dress for Success Sioux Falls or Goodwill, etc. I love completing a closet purge and helping someone in need at the same time.
