DIY: Marbled Polka Dot Nails
In the mood for some adorable summer nails? Here's a video for you!
These adorable little marbled polka-dots are super easy and quite fast as well.
Still have some questions? Here's a step-by-step:
1) Begin with clean nails and a base coat
2) Gather your 'tools': You'll need a polish for your base color and 2-3 colors for your marbling. The matte topcoat is optional. I just really like the way it looks. :) A bobby pin or two, a small piece of tinfoil and maybe some cotton balls or Q-tips to clean up the edges after you're finished.
3) Paint two coats of your base color onto your nails
4) Add that matted tip-coat if it's you're thing
5) Now prep for the marbling!
6) 'Un-do' a bobby pin to get ready to create the perfect shaped dots
7) Use your tinfoil to create the perfect mixing station for your dot colors
8) Place a few drops of each color onto your foil
9) Use the bobby to create some swirls in your paint. There's no right or wrong way here!
10) Then just simply dot onto your nails!
The little swirl created is super subtle and absolutely adorable. :) In a matter of about ten minutes you've finished an entire manicure all by yourself. If you're a bit messy, like me, finish up by dipping a Q-tip in some acetone and use it to clean up around the edges.
