Ways to Wear It: The Cardigan

Maybe we're on the same page but, it's the time of year where I have no idea what to wear on a daily basis. On my walk to the boutique it's chilly, likely rainy but on my walk home it's 80 and still terribly humid. So meet my transitional best friend: the cardigan. Here are three different types of outfits to be appropriately dressed and versatile.

Outfit 1: Casual Chic
I was obsessed with this little tank the second it made it into the store and my feelings are still the same. This layering outfit is perfect for morning errands or an evening downtown after the sun has set. I love mixing the feminine aspects of this tank with a more bad**s vest like this leather one. Finish with a statement necklace, some dark denim and flats or strappy sandals - ankle boots for Falltime. Cardigan: $34.95, Be Free Tank: $29.95, Leather Vest: $42.95 and Necklace: $24 all available at Chelsea's Boutique

Outfit 2: For the Office - Business Casual
A cardigan doesn't have to be super casual. You can easily dress it up by placing it over an adorable wrap dress for the office. The oatmeal color of the sweater reflects the oatmeal color in the dress and the gold necklace keeps it a bit dressier and more work-appropriate. Finish this look with some black tights if you're looking for something conservative and pumps or just a pair of nude or black flats if you're staying casual. Cardigan: $34.95, Patterned Wrap Dress: $32.95 and Necklace: $18 all available at Chelsea's Boutique.

Outfit 3: In Transition
Still holding on to your favorite maxi dress? No problem. I am too. And in the future we'll show you how to keep wearing it all Winter long. The layering here is gorgeous. The green belt cinches the cardigan and dress in at your smallest point and the layering of accessories takes this to the next level. I adore this hat! Pair this with ankle booties, flats or strappy sandals/wedges. Cardigan: $34.95, Poppy Dress: $24, Belt: $15, Hat: $20 and Necklaces are Prairie Flare: $27.50 each all available at Chelsea's Boutique.

xoxo the boutique babes
