Fashion Tidbits: DIY Decorative Fabric Bleaching

This specific tutorial may be 4th of July specific but it is still such a great idea - especially with all of my favorite holidays right around the corner. To think this little idea has never crossed my mind! Total simplicity with a great outcome. For this project you will need: bleach, a pencil with eraser, a pencil sharpener, toothpicks, and some fabric or linens.
From there, you're basically just creating whatever pattern you may want onto your piece of fabric. Shown here, some little firework bursts for the 4th of July. Ideas don't stop there, however. How about leaves or a pumpkin for the Fall? Maybe a turkey or Cornucopia for Thanksgiving? A little tree or an ornament for Christmas? The possibilities are endless and this is such a great way to add a little personal touch to your party table. For me, I think I'll make an 'S' on it with a little design of some sort - my married name initial. :)
