Meet Meridith
Meet the newest face at Chelsea's Boutique!
You will see Meridith gracing our social media sites as a new face of the boutique! She looks so much more well rested than I ever did and we are proud to add another incredibly influential woman to our team! Here's a little bit about her:
Although born and raised in Sioux Falls, I am a proud Golden Gopher at the University of Minnesota where I am studying Finance Risk Management and Retail Merchandise. I love the atmosphere that Minneapolis provides - it’s thriving with opportunities, culture, and inspiration! Because I fell so in love with the campus, I needed a game plan on how earn more scholarships dollars in order to be able to afford the education, and continuing my involvement with the Miss America Organization was my answer. I started competing in pageantry in 2009 when I entered a Miss America’s Outstanding Teen preliminary pageant held in Garretson, SD. I won the pageant at 14 years old and was “bit by the bug” as they say, and in just six short years, I have competed in eleven pageants (all Miss America based) and won eight titles, the most recent one making me the 68th annual Miss South Dakota. It allowed me several opportunities including: over $19,000 in scholarships, a chance to represent South Dakota at the Miss America Pageant, the year of a lifetime, all resulting in a dream come true!

| Hey look! It's Tessa! |
Since my crowning in June, I have had to take the year off of school to travel the state and promote both the national platform of Children’s Miracle Network, and my personal platform, Creating FI.R.M. Foundations for Your Future: Financial Integrity and Responsibility Mentoring. I’ve put almost 20,000 miles on the Miss SD car in just six months - crazy, right?
I also like to dabble in modeling every once in awhile. At 5’11 with a dancer’s body, I’ve had some great opportunities come my way! I’ve had the pleasure of working for Evening’s by Design, a couple of local boutiques, a Miss America experience with designer Tony Bowls, and I was approached by designer Jovani’s team to come model for him in spring 2015 (let me tell you - what a rush!). But, you know what they say, the best is yet to come. :)
God Bless,
Meridith
