Eggshells are basically free. You're going to toss them after you've made breakfast anyway. Crack them carefully and then save them for the beginning of your garden! Eggshells are packed with calcium, (which is a great catalyst to the growth of your seedlings) are inexpensive and biodegradable so they're PERFECT to transplant right into your garden when the time is right.
This here is the world's simplest form of a greenhouse.
